Dr. Junichi Watahiki graduated from Showa University School of dentistry, Tokyo, Japan in 1999.
He was trained and received Ph.D. Degree from Department of Orthodontics School of Dentistry, Showa University, Tokyo.
He has researched about periodontal regeneration and brain function related with Orthodontics at RIKEN, National Research Institute and University over ten years, And then He studied Periodontics and Prosthodontics at SJCD TOKYO and the New York University College of Dentistry.
He published over 50 articles, received many awards, and is lecturing many times about
Periodontal-Orthodontics in the world.Now he works at a private clinic and works as Visiting Associate Professor at Showa University Now his specialty is Interdisciplinary Orthodontics, which is advocated as the new dental field by him.
He established IOS(Interdisciplinary Orthodontics Society) in 2019.

Indigenous health, sustainability and waste management, engineering, information and computer sciences, analytics, management and leadership, interprofessional education, child abuse and neglect, traditional Chinese medicine, ergonomics, psychology and dental anxiety, maternal and child health, veterinary dentistry, and orthodontics.
In 2019 the Health Practitioners Law in New Zealand was changed and now every health profession registration authority, including the Dental Council, must “promote and facilitate inter-disciplinary collaboration and co-operation in the delivery of health services”.
